- One of the prettiest streetscapes in West Texas is Aspen Street in Crosbyton viewed from the library windows of the second story of the High School building. It is so special because Crosbyton was a planned city. In 1909 The C.B. Livestock Company commissioned an architect to draw a streetscape of the downtown. Aspen Street was built as a large boulevard for stately houses.
- Crosbyton is a Preserve America City. First Lady Laura Bush made the announcement in 2007.
- The City of Crosbyton has applied for and received over six million dollars in grants to improve life in Crosbyton since 1999. City Administrator, Margot Hardin and the City Council always look for help in making Crosbyton a better place to live.
- Canyon land surround Crosbyton on three sides. Today, the value of the canyon land has gone up as city dwellers search for their piece of the good life in rural Texas.
- The Smith House Bed and Breakfast has operated as a place to stay since 1921. It still has its original registry with the names of guest for the past nine decades.
- The Caprock Council Girls Scout Camp is five miles east of Crosbyton in Blanco Canyon. It is again accepting campers this summer. Girl Scout Sarah Jo Lambert of Lubbock made teaching children to “Go Green” the focus of her Gold Award Project. With the help of volunteers and companies that produced green products for construction, she built the “Lorax Lodge”, a totally environmentally sound structure for campers at the Caprock Council Girls Scouts Camp.
- In 2008, the Crosbyton Consolidated Independent School District made the decision to purchase and locate two wind turbines on the school campus. The energy feeds directly into both gyms, the band hall, elementary school, high school and the Ag building. The turbines save the district approximately thirty-tow percent of its energy coast monthly.

The Pioneer Memorial Community Center Museum Complex. - Crosbyton CCISD has done one of the best jobs on the South Plains of restoring and using old school buildings beautifully. The campus shines as an example of making the old work like new.
