Citizen Through the Years – Silas Flournoy – Silas came to Crosbyton in 1968 and instantly became an active town supporter. He is involved in numerous community activities and was District Soil Conservationist for 25 years.

Woman of the Year – Linda Spurgin – Linda is a hometown girl that returned later in life and jumped in, making a positive contribution to Crosbyton, including blessing the residents at Reeves-Rhoades.

Man of the Year – Marty Davis – Marty is a hometown boy that returned to Crosbyton in adulthood and began serving the Crosbyton community for years, contributing tirelessly to many valuable committees, one of which is the Crosby County Stock show.

Teacher of the Year – Ann Ancell – Ann is a hometown girl that returned home and began making a difference in  CCISD. Ann has been a teacher for 25 years, including teaching in a Montessori school, as well as teaching special education and regular education.

Crosbyton CISD has partnered with Texas Tech University to offer a 2+1 teacher certification program. This program is open to anyone who has completed an Associate’s degree, or the equivalent, and wishes to become an elementary teacher in the State of Texas. This is a one year certification program where teacher candidates complete their Bachelor’s degree and certification while serving as an intern at Crosbyton Elementary.
