Coming This Fall in Crosbyton
Crosbyton has exciting plans for the fall. The fall schedule kicks off with “Junk in the Truck” Vintage Market on September 19. 2015. In connection with the market in the Crosby County Farm & Ranch Museum, the Chamber of Commerce will have its second Whirligig Weekend: Re-cycle, Re-purpose, Re-invent. This year the chamber is adding a Classy Trashy Fashion Show that will be in the Farm & Ranch Museum also. Watch for more details.
On September 26, 2015, Crosbyton Chamber of Commerce will kick off the Third Annual Tour de Rio Blanco bike tour of Blanco Canyon. If you are an early riser, don’t miss the starting gun as riders leave Crosbyton for a tour of Blanco Canyon. The tour begins each year with Blanco Bob on a Pennyfarthington starting the riders.

4th of July Celebration in Crosbyton

4 Wings Museum Camp at the Pioneer Memorial Museum
The first day of the 4 wings Museum Camp at the Crosby County Pioneer Memorial l Museum will be on Thursday, July 2 beginning at 9:00 a.m. and concluding by 11:00 a.m. The campers will get to know the Native American Wing of the Museum and learn about the Comanches from their food and artifacts.
Schedule for July 2 in the Native American Wing
1. Gather in the Wheeler Center.
2. Study the early photos of the Comanches from the Texas Plains. Make a chart about what they know already about the Comanche. Lead up to what we can learn from Native Americans and their use of the buffalo as their chief food source.
3. Read: “The Buffalo Are Back” by Jean Craighead George
4. View the video clip from Caprock Canyon State Park about the State Buffalo herd of Texas.
Groups : Nutrition, How the Comanche used the Buffalo, Craft , Basket Weaving deomonstration, Archery, Storytime.
5. Time for Buffalo Burgers.

Chamber Sweetie Pie Kitchen at 62/82 Yard Sale
The Yard Sales Saturday were fantastic! There were people everywhere. Special thanks to our sponsor XCEL Energy. One spot many visited was the Chamber Pie Kitchen. The pies were fantastic thanks to our great board. We had an enjoyable day and made a little scratch for future projects. Do not forget we are selling raffle tickets for the purple & gold golf cart.
